Calcium aluminate is a sintered substance with CA and CA2 as the main components, which is formed by calcining limestone and bauxite at high temperature as raw materials. It is mainly used as a raw material for polymeric filter water purifier, high-efficiency concrete expander and refractory castables.
The method of making calcium aluminate can be classified according to the sintering process, including fusion method, rotary kiln sintering method and gas-fired tunnel kiln sintering method.
The rotary kiln sintering method uses a coal-burning hollow cement rotary kiln to sinter the material by solid-liquid phase reaction at 1300-1350°C, and then obtains the calcium aluminate product by rapid cooling. Compared with the fusion method, the rotary kiln sintering method has the feature of lower investment cost.
The calcium aluminate rotary kiln is composed of cylinder, supporting device, supporting device with stop wheel, transmission device, movable kiln head, kiln end sealing device, combustion device and other components, which has the characteristics of simple structure, reliable operation and easy control of production process.
Calcium aluminate powder is made of certain grade of aluminum ore and limestone in a certain ratio of fine grinding into balls, calcination, cooling, fine grinding and become finished products, and is now widely used in chemical industry, environmental protection, sewage treatment and other fields.
The raw ore is fed directly into the kiln end of calcium aluminate rotary kiln through electronic belt weighing scale, belt conveyor, stabilizer bin and air lock valve from the storage, and only stabilizer bin is set at the kiln end to reduce investment. The ore enters the calcium aluminate rotary kiln* for heating first, the raw ore moves in the kiln and the hot air flow in the opposite direction, and in the heating zone the raw ore is heated to the reduction temperature and then enters the reduction zone.
Reduction zone flame center temperature control at about 1000 ℃, reduction zone hot atmosphere temperature control at about 700 ℃ and reduction gas reaction reduction. The ore is cooled and discharged from the kiln of calcium aluminate rotary kiln, and after water cooling by continuous bucket conveyor, it is put into storage for selection.
