Metallurgical rotary kiln, also called metallurgical chemical kiln or metallurgical kiln, is mainly used in metallurgical industry, iron plant magnetization roasting of poor iron ore; chromium, nickel iron ore oxidation roasting; refractory plant roasting of high metallurgical ore and aluminum plant roasting clinker, aluminum hydroxide, chemical plant roasting of chromite ore sand and chromite powder and other types of minerals.
Metallurgical rotary kiln is widely used in the metallurgical industry, mainly for the production of ore refining, metal smelting, slag processing and other processes. Clinker production is one of the main applications of metallurgical rotary kilns. The main process is to react limestone and clay at high temperatures to produce clinker, which is one of the key steps in the manufacture of cement.
Metallurgical rotary kilns are also widely used in metal smelting process and can be used for smelting zinc, lead, iron and other metals. In slag treatment, metallurgical rotary kiln can safely treat slag containing high concentration of heavy metals and reduce environmental pollution.
Working Principle:
When the metallurgical rotary kiln is in normal operation, the main drive motor transmits power to this open gear unit through the main reducer to drive the rotary kiln. The material enters the kiln from the end of the kiln (the high end of the cylinder) and is calcined.
Due to the tilting and slow rotation of the cylinder, the material both rolls in the circumferential direction and moves axially (from the high end to the low end) to produce clinker that enters the cooler through the kiln head hood. The fuel is sprayed into the kiln from the kiln head, and the exhaust gas produced by combustion is exchanged with the material and then exported from the kiln tail.
